Make a concerted effort to develop compassion

Since we desire the true happiness that is brought about by a calm mind, and such peace of mind arises only from having a compassionate attitude, we need to make a concerted effort to develop compassion. We must use all the events of our daily life to transform our thoughts and behavior. ~ His Holiness The Dalai Lama

When we hang on to grudges, the surface of our mind is agitated, white caps churning.

When we allow transgressions to fade away, stillness returns and our mind again provides a reflective surface in which we can truly see the world.
